Windows xp quicktime problems

Most likely, a member posted a link a long time ago to a web page that has since been removed. It's also possible that there was a typo when posting the URL. We redirect you to this notice instead of stripping out the link to preserve the integrity of the post.

This problem does not occur with, say, video stored on my hard drive that i did not download, such as imported video or mpeg video trailers from cd.

It mainly happens with certain video downloads and streams. I have had success downloading several videos and streaming several videos while online, but certain video will simply not work correctly, per the above description.

This is really weird: sometimes i can download a video, it will work, then i will download it again and it will not work. I have no clue what is going on.

If you are, then try this: Click Start and point to Control Panels. Open the QuickTime control panel. From the pop-up menu, choose Streaming Transport. Click Automatically determine the best protocol and port ID. If QuickTime is able to configure itself for use behind a firewall, you should be able to watch a streamed movie. Facebook Like.
