Autocad copy viewport layer state

I want to extract layer info Layer State Manager Have a good one, Mike. I'm not sure if it works one hundred percent, try doing a match properties from one viewport to another.

Hey Mike, It worked! Thanks so much. As a test I froze some layers current in one viewport. I then copied and pasted that viewport into another drawing and turned it on. I'm not sure why AutoCAD defaults to turning copied or blocked viewports off when pasted or blocked in. I then imported the LMAN layer state while in the newly pasted viewport and restored the state. You could make the process more efficient by putting them on a tool palette and set the block properties to explode when inserted.

Just make sure to put all of the blocks in a "library" drawing before creating the tool palette. I haven't dabbled in Tool Palettes much. I will give this a try. Oops, I though that in this discussion group, thread replies were nested. I guess not. That last response of mine was intended for the first response.
