Hey all I'm just wondering whether it matters if the BITS services is in manual or automatic delayed start since it has a habit of switch from the former to the latter. What can cause a service to switch from 'automatic' startup to to 'manual' startup? Ask Question Asked 8 years ago. Active 8 years ago. Viewed times 0. We had some problem with the Windows Time Service a while ago.
It was set to 'manual' startup and was not started. A new popup under general tab change the startup type Automatic. I know that Automatic Updates service must be turned on to access the website it seems wierd that the Automatic Updates service must be on, even though you are manually installing updates.
I have since restored the registry before these scans to no effect have restored the registry back to after the scans now. This behavior prevents you from using BITS to transfer files.. Automatic vs Automatic Delayed start Startup types. If a service startup is set to Automatic, it loads during boot.
