I remeber playing Digimon World on Playstation when I was younger, is this game similar to it in gameplay? Showing 1 - 9 of 9 comments. Not at all, you'd want Digimon World: Next Order for something similar to that. This is a much more standard rpg. Paradox View Profile View Posts. Originally posted by Nitrius :.

I'm bored and looking for a game, I have never played a single Digimon game.
Can we compare this game to perhaps something else? I'm 30 and have been playing games since NES. Anyway I pretty much play all types of games, but would like to know if a good comparison to another game could be drawn so I can get a feel if this would be worth a purchase. Anyway I pretty much play all types of games, but would like to know if a good comparison to another game could be drawn so I can get a feel if this would be worth a purchase Monster rancher was the closest thing your gonna get to this but this has far more exploration and stuff like that It's like if you gave the main character 2 vpets and told him to go on a journey to save the digital world Best cut and dry I can do but it probably doesn't do it justice.
LOL I didn't play that either. While it's similar in one aspect, and different in many others, Ni No Kuni might peek your interest. The 2nd one is coming out sometime this year, and will have a city building aspect. Similar to this game. The game has monster taming, leveling, and many sidequests.
I thought it was the best Ps3 game :D. VenomousX 4 years ago 5. The original digimon world for the PS1 is a lot like this one, it's my personal favorite digimon game but admittedly that may be nostalgia talking.
You may find it a bit difficult losing all the modern conveniences of this game too. There's also the PSP digimon Re:digitize that is extremely similar to next order I think there's some cameo characters in this one too but it requires using a fan translation patch since it never officially released here. Other than that I would second that Monster Rancher is the next closest thing, since you do have to train your monsters and feed them in that too.
But the gameplay is a fair bit different. More topics from this board Can't use the dojo What exactly counts as a TF Training Failure? Build 3 Answers Digi Greatwood Locations? Side Quest 4 Answers I can't find medicine?
